Shine 2022 returns this September with new talent in jewellery and silversmithing

Shine 2022, the annual new talent showcase in jewellery and silversmithing, returns this September featuring the most exciting up-and-coming makers. Organised by The Goldsmiths’ Centre, the cutting-edge collections will be showcased for sale online at goldsmiths-shop-talent.org and in a free exhibition at the Centre’s London venue, a 3-minute walk from Farringdon station.

Each exhibitor has been selected through a rigorous and anonymised application process headed by guest judges’ communications specialist, Nyasha Daley, Shine 2021 exhibitor and silversmith, Alice Fry and Rachael Taylor, Journalist and Founder of the Jewellery Cut. The nine selected emerging makers will be stepping into the shoes of past talented Shine exhibitors, including silversmiths Katie Watson and Josephine Gomersall, and jewellers Megan Brown, Daisy Grice, Holly O’Hanlon, Clio Saskia, and Katherine Brunacci.

Through an intensive online skills training programme, delivered by The Goldsmiths’ Centre, they will learn all aspects of selling and presenting themselves and their work online, enabling them to get market ready for the Shine 2022’s special in person opening night at The Goldsmiths’ Centre on 21st September 2022.

“Through the Shine 2022 training programme, The Goldsmiths’ Centre will be supporting extraordinary emerging jewellers and silversmiths and be giving them the tools to make waves in the industry. Past exhibitors have gone on to receive prestigious commissions, awards and showcasing opportunities across the UK, including the Goldsmiths’ Fair hosted at Goldsmiths’ Hall each September.”

– Charlotte Dew, Public Programme Manager, The Goldsmiths' Centre
