You are invited to celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Bright New Gems at this one-day-only pop-up exhibition at the Goldsmiths’ Centre, featuring the work of more than 50 Bright New Gems alumni.

Bright New Gems – a not-for-profit industry mentoring and career development programme for graduating BA and MA jewellery designers from UK-based courses – is one of the foremost industry mentoring programmes, supporting the emerging jewellery talent.

This very special pop-up exhibition brings together Bright New Gem alumni from across the two decades for the first time to showcase their most recent works. This must-see exhibition is free to attend, and features works from an inspirational mix of designers from across the industry - talented new names as well as established designers.

Following this public opening of the 20th Anniversary pop-up exhibition on the 3rd March 2026, Bright New Gems will be hosting an evening in conversation at the Goldsmiths' Centre: Turning Points: 20 Years of New Voices in Jewellery, from 6pm to 7.30pm. Judge and founder of The Jewellery Editor, Maria Doulton,  will talk with three Bright New Gems alumni – Imogen Belfield, Katy Tromans and Makila Nsika -  as they reflect on the moments that shaped their careers, exploring the pivotal decisions, challenges, collaborations and opportunities that have defined their journeys from graduation to professional practice.

What is Bright New Gems?

Bright New Gems is a not-for-profit industry mentoring and career development programme for graduating BA and MA jewellery designers from UK-based courses. Over the past two decades, 98 talented alumni have been supported, many of whom are now established as leading figures in the jewellery industry. The Bright New Gems receive valuable mentoring from our stellar panel of judges and important industry bodies and also showcase their work at the Retail Jeweller Festival.
