As the conversation around ethical making gains momentum, join us for an engaging panel discussion exploring the diverse and evolving approaches to sourcing gold responsibly.
This Creative Links event, hosted by sustainability advocate Jos Skeates of E.C.One, brings together four leading experts in the field:
- Erin Kelly, Fairtrade Gold UK
- Dominic Jones, Creative Director, The Royal Mint
- Charles Betts, Single Mine Origin (SMO)
- Annabel Cox, Fairmined Credits
They will explore the values, challenges, and opportunities of four key gold sourcing models: Fairtrade, Fairmined Credits, Single Mine Origin (SMO), and Recycled/Repurposed gold.
Each speaker will deliver a sharp, 5-minute presentation introducing their approach. This will be followed by a panel discussion and opportunity for you to ask questions and join in the discussion. At the beginning and close of the event there will be the opportunity to network and talk to peers.

Our monthly Creative Links talks and networking events, designed for emerging makers and creative start-ups, provoke thoughts and questions which will enable you to reflect on where you are and how to get to where you want to be. Build your network, create links, learn to grow your business and become part of the community.
Details of our upcoming events and topics covered are listed in our What’s On. Every other month the event will be hosted online, should you not be able to attend an in-person event.
We run our events in person at the Goldsmiths’ Centre and online, so that as many of our community as possible can exchange ideas, learn from industry experts, and form valuable connections across the UK. We do not record these events, or broadcast them, to encourage the open sharing of ideas and experiences and preserve confidentiality. Popular topics will be repeated over time.
We are committed to making our training programmes and events as inclusive and accessible as possible. If you have any access requirements, please inform us as early as possible so we can make the necessary arrangements. While we will do our best to accommodate your needs, advance notice is essential to ensure we can provide appropriate support.
