Known as the Oscars of the jewellery industry, each year the Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council (GC&DC) attracts over 600 competition entries from talented UK based designers and craftsmen. This showcase presents the award-winning work from the 2019 competition, ranging from jewellery to tableware and objet d’art, and a special feature showcase of outstanding pieces by Goldsmiths’ Company Apprentices.

With 32 different categories and additional special prizes, work is entered by emerging (junior) and established designers and makers.  This comprehensive competition represents every aspect and activity in the profession. Over 100 industry expert judges assess work to ascertain if the Council’s high bench mark standards have been met and apportion Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards accordingly. This exhibition presents Gold award-winning work and designs.
