During this special evening talk, Joanna will explore what makes excellence in craftsmanship and how independent craftspeople can present the appropriate proposition to have their unique creations distributed through established retailers. From appropriate pricing, branding to having the right collection, she will discuss the pitfalls and positives of approaching retailers.

Who is the speaker?

With over 30 years’ experience Jo Newton has worked with world class businesses such developing their retail and product propositions, specialising in brand strategy and implementation, buying and sourcing management, licensing and collaborations. Most recently as Head of Buying of Fashion, Beauty and Home at Fortnum & Mason, Jo has led the way on key initiatives elevating the perception and awareness of the non-food sector of the business. Jo also mentors on “Walpole Brands of Tomorrow” programme.
